District 10 Region 3 AA recap October 8, 2013
Jared Graham and Justin Thompson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Saegertown. The connection went for 64 yards, the longest such play in District 10 Region 3 AA this season.
Grove City's Graham rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Panthers last week. Graham scampered for 82 yards on the play and finished with 82 on the day as his team bested Saegertown.
Graham threw for 196 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Matt Voytik provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Hickory bested Sharon. He completed 12 passes for 309 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 151 yards. Voytik's favorite target this week was Andrew Pryts, who caught 5 passes for 155 yards.
Pryts was the best wideout in the league this week as the Hornets defeated the Tigers. Pryts racked up 5 receptions for 155 yards. DeQuan Lewis helped Hickory's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 105 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Voytik of Hickory is the league leader in passing yards this season with 969. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Luke Houpt. The Greenville star has 16 catches for 356 yards.
Grove City was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in District 10 Region 3 AA. Earlier in the week, Jeff Bell's team triumphed over michael rhoades' team 82-14.
