Palmyra-Macedon got themselves on the board against Wayne on Thursday, but Wayne never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Eagles. The Red Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Camron Quick was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Quick wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tino LoPresto, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave LoPresto a new career-high.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Palmyra-Macedon, bringing their record up to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wayne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Macedon will welcome Clyde-Savannah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wayne, they will be playing at home against Penn Yan Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
