The Flint River Academy Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 44-28 fall against LaGrange Academy. Flint River Academy has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Flint River Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reagan Riner scored 11 points along with four blocks. Riner hasn't dropped below four blocks for three straight games.
Flint River Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.4 points per game. As for LaGrange Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Flint River Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaGrange Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
