Leechburg is a perfect 6-0 against Rochester since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 3:45 p.m. Leechburg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Rochester's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Leechburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Kiski School a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Mason Bertino was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Bertino was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Steven Senjan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Whitlinger, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Leechburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiski School only managed two.
Meanwhile, Rochester fell victim to Western Beaver and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Golden Beavers. The Rams have struggled against the Golden Beavers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Leechburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rochester, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything went Leechburg's way against Rochester when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Leechburg made off with an 11-1 victory. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
