The North Polars pushed their score all the way to 58 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodbury. North has struggled against Woodbury recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Polars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brevin Conway, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ramadan Hassan, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
North has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Woodbury, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Tartan at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Tartan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North in Minnesota (Tartan is ranked 26th, while North is ranked 230th). As for Woodbury, they will be playing at home against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Stillwater's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
