After only two runs in their last matchup, Clearfield made sure to put some runs up on the board against Viewmont on Tuesday. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over the Vikings. In other batting news, Clearfield got a massive performance out of Alexandra Bingham, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Bingham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Skylar Davis, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Clearfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Clearfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Viewmont, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
