Farina South Central has gone a perfect 4-0 against Ramsey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Farina South Central has three straight victories, Ramsey has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Farina South Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Bobcats 16-2. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Kinlee Thompson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Kyra Swift was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bri Buchanan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Farina South Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Ramsey lost 16-2 to Brownstown/St. Elmo on Wednesday.

Farina South Central's record now sits at 10-7. As for Ramsey, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
