Manchester Valley proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 21) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Century and snuck past 48-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manchester Valley.
Manchester Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Cuneo led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cuneo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Luddy, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Western Tech & Environmental Science beat the Mavericks 55-51 on Wednesday.
Manchester Valley's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.
Manchester Valley might still be hurting after the 65-42 defeat they got from the Wolverines in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Manchester Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
