It was a good run, but the Clear Spring Blazers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-23 loss at the hands of Catoctin. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, Clear Spring couldn't push the score so high this time.
Taylor Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Catoctin, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Samantha Orndorff, who scored six points along with five steals.
Clear Spring's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Catoctin, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clear Spring and the Railroaders will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brunswick has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 11. As for Catoctin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
