The Daniel Lions had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 78-52 margin over Palmetto. Daniel might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 26 points or more this season.
Daniel found their leader in underclassman Jackson Conley, who scored 16 points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Conley scored 15 or more points. Hayden Anderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Daniel's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Palmetto, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Daniel won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Union County at 5:00 p.m. on December 21st. Palmetto will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Baptist Hill at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Baptist Hill comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
