Pewaukee dropped down to 16-6 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered since May 14, 2025.
Sydney Brewster made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Kennedy Tisdale was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Beaver Dam, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games.
On Beaver Dam's side, Emma Julka was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Julka has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendall Fakes, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Joelee Drzonek, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Coming up, Pewaukee will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 3.1, the Eagles 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Beaver Dam, they will take on Oregon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.61 runs per game on average), something the Golden Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
