After losing to the Bridges Prep Buccaneers the last time they met, the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Bamberg-Ehrhardt took down the Buccaneers 60-45 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bamberg-Ehrhardt.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bamberg-Ehrhardt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Parker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Parker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nigel Myers, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Bridges Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Te'shaun Heyward, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine assists.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Bridges Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bamberg-Ehrhardt will challenge the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Whale Branch will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Bridges Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against the Yellow Jackets at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Branchville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Monday.
