Katahdin has won 11 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Hodgdon has won 11 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Cougars will welcome the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Katahdin 2.9, Hodgdon 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Katahdin made easy work of Southern Aroostook and carried off a 20-9 win. Considering the Cougars have won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Connor Edwards was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since May 5th.

In other batting news, Conor Schmidt was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Martin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Katahdin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Aroostook only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Hodgdon earned a 6-3 victory over Fort Fairfield on Friday.
The team relied heavily on Hunter Duttweiler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cameron Hanington, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Katahdin's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Hodgdon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Katahdin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .487. However, it's not like Hodgdon struggles in that department as they've averaged .496. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Katahdin skirted past Hodgdon 8-6 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
