After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crystal City, Lytle was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 87-53 victory over the Natalia Mustangs. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Chase Guevara was his usual excellent self, going 12 for 21 en route to 32 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zacharee Perez, who posted 16 points.

Lytle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Lytle pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.4 points. As for Natalia, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-17.

Lytle is taking a road trip to take on Jourdanton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
