Broaddus hadn't done well against Chireno recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Broaddus Bulldogs were the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over the Chireno Owls. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

In other batting news, Ava Turcios was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Montana Thacker was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.
The victory got Broaddus back to even at 1-1. As for Chireno, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Corrigan-Camden will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Broaddus surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chireno, they will head out to take on Shelbyville at 5:30 p.m. on March 14th.
