Baseball Recap: Southington Wins Going Away Against RHAM

Southington won the last time they faced RHAM and things went their way on Monday too. The Blue Knights were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Raptors. The Blue Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Logan Rembish made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Owen Widger was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin LaRosa, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Southington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
