Lynnfield pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pentucket Regional, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Pentucket Regional skirted past Lynnfield 6-5 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pentucket Regional since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
