The Williamsport Wildcats will take on the North Hagerstown Hubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Williamsport's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Tuesday, Williamsport was fully in charge, breezing past Boonsboro 83-54. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Jahmeir Byrd and Ceonta Wilmore were among the main playmakers for Williamsport as the former went 12-for-14 to rack up 25 points in addition to five steals and three blocks and the latter went 7-for-10 on his way to 20 points along with seven boards and five assists. Byrd's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Zay Oree, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points.
Williamsport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for North Hagerstown on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Linganore out of the water with an 84-48 final score. With the Hubs ahead 48-24 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Williamsport better focus on containing Joey Dorsey and Landon Somerville as the pair were huge in North Hagerstown's win. Dorsey went 10-for-15 to rack up 24 points and five assists, while Somerville went 7-for-10 on his way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Thanks to that strong game, Somerville now owns an excellent 45.9% shooting accuracy. Brayden Cespedes was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five assists and five boards.
Williamsport is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.9 points. North Hagerstown's victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Williamsport has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like North Hagerstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Williamsport ended up a good deal behind North Hagerstown in their previous meeting back in January, losing 77-61. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Somerville, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Now that Williamsport knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
