The biggest upset of the week belonged to Winnfield, who defeated 85th ranked Sterlington, 28-7.
The Tigers moved up to 110 from 137 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 2. Winnfield was able to move up by defeating the Panthers 28-7.
Sterlington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Devon Murphy threw for 100 yards and Quenterrius Gray had 66 yards receiving. On the ground Jaylon Wade contributed 41 yards. Wade helped Sterlington's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 28 yards.
Jason Thompson's team's dynamic duo of Murphy and Gray proved to be unstoppable against Andy Pyles' team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wade helped Sterlington's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 28 yards.
Ferriday's Shannon Morales and Adrian Wiggins led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Morales has thrown for 432 yards this season, while Wiggins has 16 catches for 337 yards. Wade from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 843 yards.
At the moment, the Trojans are in sixth, while the Tigers are in first.
Winnfield took down Sterlington 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
