The Northside Panthers had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Sterling 55-18 on the road. Northside's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Northside can attribute much of their success to Uriah Larry, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Larry set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Zipporah Criswell, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Northside's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Sterling, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Northside will be home for the holidays to greet Galena Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will head out on the road to face off against Wisdom at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Wisdom will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1562nd, while Sterling is ranked 772nd).
