The Pine View Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Centennial Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine View will be strutting in after a win while Centennial will be coming in after a defeat.
Pine View will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Beaver on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 13-5 victory. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Ryan Dewitt made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Raiden Hunt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Porter Campbell, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Pine View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Centennial is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Middleton. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 9-8. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Centennial got a big performance out of Terrell Otis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Trevor Henson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
Pine View's record is now 5-6. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pine View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
