Baseball Recap: Wake Forest Has No Trouble Against Heritage

Wake Forest made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Heritage, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 8-1 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Carson Crider looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aramis Perez, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ethan Brittain was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Wake Forest and bumps their season record up to 13-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 8-11 Rolesville and 9-10 Heritage. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-10.
