Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Ames' 13th in Last 15 Outings

After losing to Roosevelt the last time they met, Ames decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Little Cyclones walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Roughriders on Monday.

Ames has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Ames has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Cedar Falls on the 17th. As for Roosevelt, they will take on Lincoln at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
