They were dealt a 58-25 defeat at the hands of Invest Collegiate Imagine on Tuesday. Blue Ridge Early College lost against Invest Collegiate Imagine in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-17 score last time.
Blue Ridge Early College's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was McKenzie Woods, who scored 9 points along with 15 rebounds. Woods scored a full 36% of Blue Ridge Early College's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Kenney, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 17 rebounds.
Blue Ridge Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Invest Collegiate Imagine, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Blue Ridge Early College will be playing at home against Asheville T at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Invest Collegiate Imagine, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th.
