Francis Lewis lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Stuyvesant, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Patriots never let the Peglegs get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Renos Pagiatakas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Espn Fan, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was John Apolonides, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Francis Lewis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Francis Lewis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Stuyvesant, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Francis Lewis will take on John Adams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.11 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stuyvesant, they will face off against Richmond Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
