There's no place like home for the Hermon Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took down John Bapst Memorial 58-41 on Tuesday. Given Hermon's advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while John Bapst Memorial is ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
John Bapst Memorial's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colby Haggerty, who scored ten points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Haggerty grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Logun McMahon, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Hermon's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for John Bapst Memorial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Hermon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. John Bapst Memorial also has no future games currently scheduled.
