Sergeant Bluff-Luton came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 59-14 win over the Storm Lake Tornadoes. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Tornadoes are ranked 176th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Storm Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
