The West Elk Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Bluestem as West Elk made off with a 73-53 win. That's another feather in the cap for West Elk, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
West Elk was led to victory by Uriah Tillapaugh and Maddex Moreno. Tillapaugh dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Moreno scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Moreno has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kase Kill, who scored three points along with six rebounds and two steals.
West Elk has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Bluestem, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
