It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Sebring Blue Streaks had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They really took it to the Seminoles for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-28 victory on the road. Sebring has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Sebring's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adrianna Maldonado, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Shamari Jones, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Southeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mae Beville, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Mcneal, who scored six points.
The win was the fifth in a row for Sebring, bringing their record for this year to 11-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
Sebring is on the road again on Friday and plays Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Parrish Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday. Southeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
