Basketball Recap: Jadon Lane Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charles J. Colgan, Park View was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Brentsville District Tigers by a score of 69-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Park View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadon Lane, who posted 28 points. Those 28 points gave Lane a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Monnity, who had 20 points.

The victory got Park View back to even at 4-4. As for Brentsville District, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park View will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rock Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Park View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season. As for Brentsville District, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brentsville District is facing Warren County at the right time seeing as Warren County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
