KIPP DC Legacy College Prep found their leader in underclassman Marlon Calhoun, who scored 22 points. Calhoun is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Messiah Gibson, who scored 14 points.
KIPP DC Legacy College Prep now has a winning record of 6-5. As for BASIS, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
KIPP DC Legacy College Prep will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Peninsula Catholic at 12:45 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Peninsula Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Monday. As for BASIS, they will head out on the road to square off against SEED DC at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (SEED DC is ranked 32nd, while BASIS is ranked 37th).
