Pinecrest Academy Cadence extended their home winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Aspen Larson. The Cougars blew past the Indian Springs Thunderbirds 50-17 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Larson, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.

Sierra Larson was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on her way to 10 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's record now sits at 5-0. As for Indian Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Academy Cadence and Cheyenne will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. As for Indian Springs, they will take on Beatty in a tournament on Friday. The Thunderbirds are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
