Softball Recap: Anson Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parkwood, Anson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Central Eagles with a sharp 13-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Anson's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Central, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anson will take on Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats are facing the Redhawks at the right time seeing as the Redhawks are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cheraw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Braves will have lost seven straight heading into Friday's contest.
