The South Grand Prairie Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Lamar Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Grand Prairie is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 144th, while Lamar is ranked 416th).
After failing to score in their last matchup, South Grand Prairie made sure to put some goals up on the board against Haltom on Friday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Buffalos. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for South Grand Prairie's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.
Meanwhile, Lamar kept a clean sheet against Bowie on Friday. They came out on top against the Volunteers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lamar.
South Grand Prairie's win bumped their record up to 7-4-2. As for Lamar, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.
South Grand Prairie took their win against Lamar in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 4-0. Will South Grand Prairie repeat their success, or does Lamar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
