Sheridan put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They steamrollered Gervais 62-0. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-0.
Among those leading the charge for Sheridan was junior Josh Rogers, who rushed for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Rogers's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games. Senior Jacob DeBoff was in the mix, too, providing Sheridan with two touchdowns.
The victory was the 5th in a row for Sheridan, as they raised their record to 5-1. Gervais are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Sheridan take on Santiam at 7:00 PM. Santiam have averaged 58.33 points over the course of their past four games, so Sheridan might be in for a challenge. As for Gervais, they will face off against Chemawa Indian.
