Section 5 Livingston III recap September 24, 2013
Christian Hollister of Perry ran for the longest rushing play in Section 5 Livingston III this season against York last week. Hollister's team bested the Golden Knights as he sprinted for 97 yards on the play and finished with 163 in all.
Bolivar-Richburg moved up to 555 from 595 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wolverines climbed the ranks as a result of besting Canisteo-Greenwood 36-23.
Perry's dynamic duo of Cory Dillon and Hollister proved tough for York to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dillon threw for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns and Hollister had 108 yards receiving.
Jeremy Ohlson's team's dynamic duo of Dillon and Hollister proved to be unstoppable against Eric Amorese's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Dillon put up the best numbers through the air as the Yellowjackets defeated the Golden Knights.
Nick Hosmer was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Redskins fell to Bolivar-Richburg. The 6-foot-0 junior.
Hollister was the best wideout in the league this week as Perry beat York.
Nate Hosmer was the best running back in Section 5 Livingston III this week. He ran for 183 yards on 15 carries as Canisteo-Greenwood defeated the Golden Knights. Teammate Lake Northrup added to the ground attack by rushing for 51 yards.
Perry's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Yellowjackets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dillon has thrown for 527 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Tj McGinnis has 11 catches for 253 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when York takes on Cuba-Rushford. The Golden Knights are in third place, while the Rebels are in first place.
York fell to Perry 53-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cody Dubiel threw for 107 yards and ran for 23 yards in the defeat.
