General McLane is 8-2 against Fort LeBoeuf since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The General McLane Lancers will head out on the road to face off against the Fort LeBoeuf Bison at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, General McLane ended up a good deal behind Cathedral Prep and lost 69-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for General McLane in their matchups with Cathedral Prep: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Fort LeBoeuf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against McDowell, falling 68-27. While losing is never fun, Fort LeBoeuf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 431st, while McDowell is ranked 29th).
General McLane has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Everything went General McLane's way against Fort LeBoeuf in their previous matchup back in January as General McLane made off with a 63-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for General McLane since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
