Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stone). They never let the Laurel Golden Tornadoes onto the board and left with a 5-0 win on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Tomcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stone has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five games. As for Laurel, they dropped their record down to 9-10-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Stone will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pearl River Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. After both having extra time off, Laurel and Gautier will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
