For the second straight game, Lexington will face off against Mansfield Senior. The Minutemen will be playing at home against the Tygers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lexington has nine straight wins, Mansfield Senior has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lexington's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Mansfield Senior with a sharp 16-0 victory. Considering the Minutemen have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

At bat, Chapman went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Lutz went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Lexington let Alexis Cantrell and Kylie Thornton run wild. Cantrell went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Thornton went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Stull, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lexington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive games.
Lexington's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Mansfield Senior, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Mansfield Senior's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lexington has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game.
