Kirby Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rain Li led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six rebounds. Chris Lively was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Kirby Prep's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5. As for Chartwell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
