The Copper Hills Grizzlies got the win against the Syracuse Titans  on Friday by a conclusive  13-5. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won five contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kennedy Jennings was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.

 In other batting news,  Bryton Dawes was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with six  RBI, three  runs,  and one  double. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Janie Coats, who  scored four  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
The  win made it two in a row for Copper Hills and  bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7  runs in those games. As for Syracuse, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-2.
 Coming up, Copper Hills is taking a road trip to  take on Mountain Ridge  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Copper Hills' pitchers better be ready for this one: Mountain Ridge has averaged an impressive 10.6  runs per game this season. As for Syracuse, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  an  11-6  loss against West Field on the 24th.
