The Woodlawn Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Hereford Bulls at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodlawn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 155th, while Hereford is ranked 35th).
Woodlawn suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Loch Raven on the road and fell 62-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woodlawn in their matchups with Loch Raven: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Hereford came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 66-11 victory over Dundalk. Hereford has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.
Woodlawn now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Hereford, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Woodlawn took a serious blow against Hereford in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 67-20. Can Woodlawn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
