The Valparaiso Vikings waltzed into their matchup  on Tuesday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy  67-51 win over Twin Lakes. That's another feather in the cap for Valparaiso, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Valparaiso was led to victory by  Lillian Barnes and  Becca Gerdt.  Barnes  scored 27 points along with eight  assists and eight  rebounds, while  Gerdt  dropped  a double-double on 27 points and ten  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Gerdt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Raegan O'halek, who  scored six points along with nine  rebounds and two  blocks.
 Twin Lakes' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Olivia Nickerson, who  scored 21 points along with two  steals. Nickerson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addie Bowsman, who  scored 14 points.
 Valparaiso's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Twin Lakes, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
 Valparaiso will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Lake Central at 6:00  p.m.  on January 18th. Lake Central will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Twin Lakes will take on Logansport at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Logansport will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Twin Lakes is ranked 122nd).
