The Corydon Central Panthers's three-game losing streak  came to an end  on Friday. They slipped by Lafayette Central Catholic  38-37. That's another feather in the cap for Corydon Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Corydon Central's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Alyssa Groover, who  scored seven points along with nine  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josie Vaughn, who  scored six points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 Corydon Central's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they have  fallen quite a ways from their 20-7 record last season and are now  at 5-9.
 Corydon Central will finish  2023 at home by hosting South Knox at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. South Knox is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Lafayette Central Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Vincennes Rivet on December 30, 2023. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Indiana (Vincennes Rivet is ranked 163rd, while Lafayette Central Catholic is ranked 151st).
