It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Edisto with a 49-45 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ridgeland-Hardeeville.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jabien Harris led the charge by scoring 18 points along with two steals. Harris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Aquamina, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Edisto, they bumped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Woodland the next time they take the court. Ridgeland-Hardeeville will head out to face Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Edisto will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
