The Garfield-Palouse Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Waitsburg/Prescott Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield-Palouse is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Garfield-Palouse came up short against Pomeroy last Saturday, falling 10-3.

Eldyn Fiscus and Preston Olson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fiscus scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Olson scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Brody Pfaff also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Waitsburg/Prescott narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 18-16. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Waitsburg/Prescott's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Garfield-Palouse, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.
