It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Perry Pirates had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Garfield. The win was just business as usual for Perry, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Despite the loss, Garfield still got an impressive performance from Keegan Sell, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Sell is absolutely dominating the solo tackle category: he's posted at least six every time he's taken the field this season.
Perry has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.13 points. As for Garfield, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1.
Perry's homestand continues as they prepare to take on South Range at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. South Range is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Garfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
