Lowellville had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past East 24-7.
 Liam Bartlett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run but no hits. Bartlett was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Lowellville got a  massive  performance out of  Geno Perry, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Cody Nolfi was another key player,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
East's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowellville will take on Mineral Ridge at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. This will  be Lowellville's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for East, they will square off against Leetonia at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
