On Friday Illinois Valley take on Reedsport at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Illinois Valley now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
After a dominant victory in their game two weeks ago, Illinois Valley were humbled last Friday. It was close but no cigar for Illinois Valley as they fell 24-27 to Creswell. Illinois Valley got a solid performance out of senior Caleb Hess, who picked up 86 yards on the ground and accumulated 218 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-46, which was the final score in Reedsport's tilt against Glide.
Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
