It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against Marion as Jourdanton made off with a 35-14 win. The win was just business as usual for Jourdanton, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
When it comes to explaining why Marion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bo Stahl. Despite the final result, he rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 177 yards and a touchdown.
Jourdanton's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.89 points. As for Marion, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Jourdanton is on the road again on Friday and play against Edna. Edna is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
